Individual Nail System Course
(Acrylic / UV Gel / Silk and Fibreglass)

This course is suitable for those wishing to learn a specific nail system (Acrylic, UV Gel or Silk and Fibreglass). It is open to qualified manicurists or experienced technicians wishing to refresh and update their skills.
The course is taught over 3 days whereby students are able to attend specific days from the Complete Nail Technician Course (CNT). Beginners should refer to the Complete Nail Technician Course.
Course Structure:
Day 1 10am-5pm specific nail system:-
- Fibreglass and Silk extensions/wraps (day 2 of CNT)
- UV Gels (day 3 of CNT))
- Acrylic - tips overlays and sculpting (day 4 of CNT)
Day 2 10am-5pm rebalance, maintenance and removal (day 5 of CNT)
(6-8 week practice period)
Day 3 10am-5pm review and assessment day
Course Criteria:
- Salon hygiene, sanitation/health and safety
- Client consultation, contra-indications and client care
- Natural nail preparation
- Tip application
- Specific nail enhancement technique (either Acrylic, UV Gel or Silk & Fibreglass)
- Maintenance, rebalance and removals
- Troubleshooting, promotion and marketing of your new skill
Assessment:
Verbal and written assessments are undertaken during the course to confirm students understanding.
Certificate / Insurance
A certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course. Your final assessment includes a written paper and practical examination. Once you have completed your training we recommend that you obtain public liability insurance. There are several companies that will insure you against our certificates.
